If you are new to the internet marketing scene, and trying to
figure out how to earn an income on your own by working from
home, there is a good chance that you will feel lost if you
do not have somebody to guide you through the process. In
other words, you will need a mentor. A mentor or a sponsor
is like a guide or a Sherpa that will help you navigate the
harsh terrain of building your own Internet business. A
sponsor knows how to get you where you want to be, because
they have been there before. But choosing a mentor can be a
very difficult thing to do. When you try to find a sponsor,
you will find that there are more of them out there than you
could possibly dream of. This is because the field of
Internet marketing is so lucrative that there is a great
deal of people trying to make it big as an expert in the
field.
So how do you go about finding a suitable mentor to guideyou and help you build up your business? There are two typesof mentor to choose from. You can go with a paid mentor, oryou can look for a free mentor. The advantage of paying amentor is that the sponsor can devote a great deal more timeto you. If you were getting paid to sponsor somebody, youwould be more willing to give him or her your fullattention. Finding a free sponsor can sometimes be the moretrustworthy option, however, as a free sponsor has no reasonto tell you anything unless they feel helpful to begin with. Before spending any money on a mentor, you want to ensurethat they know what they are talking about. Word of mouth isone of the best choices. Joining forums on internet marketingand asking around to see who is the best paid sponsor willallow you to get unbiased opinions regarding who knows whatthey are talking about. You should also do whatever you can
to figure out how much attention you will get from the
mentor. How often can they communicate with you, and in what
medium? How easy will it be for you to ask questions and get
them answered? If your sponsor is too busy for you, it's
probably not worth paying for. Make sure that they suit your
needs.
Alternatively, if you are looking for free advice, there are
quite a few options. You can join a newsletter in order to
get periodic updates on the subject of Internet marketing.
You can join forums on the subject and get in touch with
other people in the field. After spending some time there,
you will be able to determine who knows what they are
talking about, and how is just faking it.
