Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith buy into NBA.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES HOLLYWOODTV - "In West Philadephia, Born and Raised," was how the beginning of the theme for "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" began. Now, the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith (and wife Jada) have joined a group to purchase the Philadelphia 76ers NBA franchise. The group was headed up by New York billionaire Joshua Harris. The Smith's have yet to comment on the purchase, but 76ers guard Evan Turner tweeted, "think it's dope that the fresh prince is one of our new owners. Maybe willow can perform at halftime." Now, the Smiths and their ownership group just have to wait for a game to be played, as the NBA is still currently in the midst of a lockout.
