A judge has denied Apple's request to stop Samsung phones from being sold in the U.S..
The iPhone and iPad manufacturer claims that Samsung copied key features of its products.Apple was awarded over $1 billion in August when a U.S. jury found in its favour.
But the new ruling means Samsung can go ahead with sales of its Galaxy and Nexus series.
The ongoing dispute between the two tech giants mirrors the struggle for market surpremacy worldwide.
Both companies control more than half of worldwide smartphone sales.
