The latest from the Apple product line, the 128GB version of the fourth generation iPadwhich will be released on February 5 in the U.S., is not getting much excitement from New Yorkers.
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES (FEBRUARY 4, 2013) (REUTERS) - It was business as usual at the Apple flagship store in Fifth Avenue in New YorkCity, despite being less than 24 hours before the newest version of the iPad would be released in the U.S.
Boasting a 128GB memory, which is double the current iPad version, and standing at 9.7-inches, the new Retina display did not attract much enthusiasm from New Yorkers compared to the turn out of other Apple products."We haven't really come up with needing more space on it. So I don't see us waiting in line for the brand new iPad. But I'm sure lots of people will," said Benjamin Kallos, who was in the Apple store to get his fiancé's MacBook Pro reformatted.
Mert Nuzumlali who was touring the city from Turkey was also not too adamant to get the updated version of the iPad.
"I use the 64 iPad, the retina display one, the new one. And I think it's fine. But, I mean, there is no limit. I mean, it's 128 today. Tomorrow it's 256. There is no limit as I say. Someone is going to buy it. Maybe it will be me, maybe it will be someone else. I don't know," said Nuzumlali, who purchased two iPads, two Wi-Fi keyboards, an external hard drive, and an adaptor for himself to take back home.
Although there are still some who cannot wait to get their hands on the new iPad as soon as it hits shelves on February 5.
"Because I don't like other brands. They are copying iPod. I like to be the first one, you know. And then the best one in the market," shared Gamze Sart, an Apple loyalist who just bought an iMac monitor for her son.
The new 128GB versions of the fourth generation iPad retails for $799 (US) for the iPadwith Wi-Fi model and $929 for the iPad with Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
